Three modes of image processing

(i) Enhance mode
Paint, adjust and enhance images with vast array of filters, effects and color tools. The image in this mode is a flattened (merged) image from the layer mode. Updating the image from the layer mode is manual and vice versa. For every action performed on this mode, the image in the optimize mode is updated automatically depending upon the optimized file saving options selected at that point of time. The panoramic view is exclusively based on this mode.

(ii) Layer Mode
Create an image with various layers components (images & texts) and produce high quality images. You can update the image of the Enhance mode from this mode without merging all the layers explicitly.

(iii) Optimize Mode
This mode allows quick preview of the image in the Enhance mode in web based image formats namely, JPEG, GIF and PNG. The output information (size, type, colors etc) can be found in the status bar of the image document.

With the fast growing use of digital devices such as cameras and scanners, Image Enhancement has become a part of a computer user's life. But, digital photos can suffer from both esthetic and processing defects due to various reasons as seen in the above photo. This can be due to problems of contrast, color casts, color saturation, dynamic range, blur, scratches, etc. Furthermore, most digital images, no matter how artistically developed, they always need some enhancement in the form of correcting the contrast, hue, saturation, brightness or simply by getting variations of your photo by controlling the color balance. With the correct tools and filters, correcting Photos are just a matter of seconds with RahmanImager.

Have Total Control over the output of the image
	Using the Optimize save command from File Menu (File > Optimize Save), you can apply very detail setting for outputting the files. You can save GIF images in one of the color depth: 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256 colors. The way each color components are embedded to make up the original image can be adjusted or tweaked using the various color maps available, namely, MS Map, Optimal, Fixed Color, iNet, MS 256, Fixed Gray. Choose one of these map to quantify the color distribution.
Apply about 10 dithering effects (Binary, Ordered, Halftone, Forward Diagonal, Backward Diagonal, Horizontal, Vertical, Odd, even, equal) to adjust the way each color component (pixel) blends to bring upon the closest impression of the original image. You can even choose the color mode (color or greyscale). You can also output files in Interlaced version of GIF which is useful for displaying very large images quickly. The advantage is that large images take considerable time to load on browsers and to overcome this situation, initially a very low quality image is displayed, and bits are slowly added as the entire image is received. For JPEG, you can select the defined quality range or you can customized the quality range between 1-100. For PCX, TIF and TGA format, you can select between compressed and uncompressed version.

Drawing Tools

There are many drawing and painting tools such as selection, Brush, Airbrush, Fill, Stamp Applier, Gradient Applier, Shapes, Color Picker, pencil etc. Gradient tool applies a spectrum of two colors (gradients between them) to the image. Stamp tool applies a pre-defined stamp effect to the image Draw shapes (line, rectangle, square, polygon, circle etc) The Fill tool fills a specific continuous band of colors with the current color or the current Stamp Apply a brush effect to the image in different modes (color, Soften, Blur, Sharpen, Lighten, Darken, Current Stamp)

 

Gradation Effects

The Gradation tool is an special artistic tool which applies a spectrum of two colors (gradients between them) to the image. By learning some few simple techniques, you can easily control the effect of the gradient spectrum and produce some great photo enhancement. There are two mode available for this effect:  Linear- Applies a linear gradient of two specified colors to the image as drawn by the tool. Circular: Applies a circular gradient spectrums of two colors to the image as drawn by the tool. Circular Alternating Gradient: Obtained when Frequency is set between 2-100 Linear Alternating Gradient: Obtained when Frequency value is set between 2-100 Linear Flat Gradient: Obtained when Frequency value is set to 1 and drawn at angle 45. Linear Flat Gradient: Obtained when Frequency value is set to 1 and drawn at angle 90.

Apply Textures
	Textures provide a means for providing a holistic view of the image. 30 defined textures patterns are, by default, present which you can see as square images. Clicking on one of the square generates a texture pattern inscribed within the current image displayed. The level of transparency can be controlled by adjusting the slider or Scrollable textbox according to the desire range. You can use you own texts (words) as texture to be inscribed on the whole surface of the current image or you can get an image from your disk to act as a texture for the current image.
With textures, you can even combine with filters to bring a blended mixture. There are more than 30 textures filters that can be applied to your images. Unlimited Undo & Redo

Backtrack up to any level of actions performed, so that you have plenty of room for creative experimentation without worrying about losing your original content. For easy restoration, there is an interactive Undo/Redo panels for all actions performed on the images. The actions History hosts all the actions applied to the image of the Enhance pane. Each individual action is buffered in the disk and hence don't consume much of valuable memory available. There are unlimited levels of actions is supported with the professional edition.

 

Apply Palettes
		You can apply different color palette to your image. You can view and edit existing palettes or create new one. Basically applying a palette to an image will replace the colors of an existing image with the corresponding colors of the new palette. How much effect applying a palette has depends on how different the applied palette is from the original one. Available palettes are: IE 256, web 216, color 125, color 64, Grey 256, Grey 128 etc.

 

User Defined Filters
		Did you ever wish you had a set of specialized blur, sharpen or edge detect filters? Have you ever wanted an emboss filter that retains the colors of your original image? Maybe you yearned for a filter that would give you something funky. If so, this user defined filter is just the right tool for you. You can save your customized filter for future reference as well.

 

Thumbnails Browser

Windows Explorer look alike interface and flexibility. List all files from 56 image formats either in icon or thumbnail mode. Thumbnail mode can be either with or without resampling. You can define the width and height of the thumbnails. To open a particular image, just double-click the icon or thumbnail and the image file will open in the workspace.

 

Set Wallpaper

Set Current Image Document as the wallpaper of your desktop without even saving the image. All you have to do is just click a menu item and the wallpaper is changed instantly. You can choose if the wallpaper is to be centered, tiled or stretched according to the image size. So apply all sort of filters, effects etc and beautify your desktop appearance.

 

Image Preview in Open Dialog Box

The Open image feature allows the user to open an existing image that was previously saved, and stored on any of the available storage drives on the system. The Open dialog has an Image information / preview section at the left end. Any compatible file name (one of the 55+ image formats supported) that is selected in the file listing will preview as thumbnail itself in the preview box. This is particularly handy when you do not know the name of the image you wish to open. There is also additional information (displayed below the thumbnail) like file name, size, color depth etc., on the selected image  prior to opening it.

 

Multiple Image Documents

Open and work with multiple images within the same application. Switch between them and adjust them in cascade, tile or horizontal mode to make distribute the area of the workspace equally among the documents.

 

Panoramic View

Navigating the view area - If the entire image is not visible in the document image window, you can navigate to bring another area of the image into view.  You need to scroll the red colored  figure (rectangle) with the mouse at the desired area and the corresponding area in the image document window will show up.

 

Clipboard Area

Import clipboard image from other application like Adobe Photoshop, ACDSee or Internet Explorer. Copy image from other applications and input that clipboard image to the clip history box and that's way you can recall the last 10 clip images and then apply (paste) each one of the clip image to the Image document.
